ABOUT YOUR GUIDE

Bobby Weidmann, the founder of Bikalope Tours, has lived in Colorado for over twelves years. He is originally from Georgia, like the founders of Auraria, but has since adopted Denver as his home town. He is an avid bicyclist and prefers to bike as a way of life and not just as a pastime. For his first three and a half years he lived in Denver he did not even own a car.

As a graduate from The University of Colorado at Denver with degrees in both landscape architecture and urban design, Bobby came to appreciate his adopted hometown from the perspective of a city planner. He has an intimate knowledge of Denver’s urban fabric and he brings this perspective to life through his narratives  of the city.

Jim Kennedy was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, but he couldn’t resist the state of Colorado. His active life  style and positive attitude propelled him west in search of adventure and like-minded citizenry. After spending a year living in Fort Collins, making ice cream and riding around town on his bike, Jim was hooked. He left Colorado to receive his MFA in Drawing/Painting from Georgia State University, but returned shortly after graduation to once again call Colorado home.

Jim currently resides in the City Park West neighborhood in Denver and can be seen pedaling around town, giving tours, and taking photos of his beautiful surroundings. He is characteristically upbeat and has an enthusiasm that is contagious. If you get Jim as your tour guide prepare to share his excitement for all things Denver.
